FLAGS
The American Flag Program
The Kiwanis Club of Lubbock proudly sponsors the American Flag Program in Lubbock, TX.
This is an opportunity for residents to honor our country and show support for our Armed Forces, with a beautiful American Flag in their yard. During the year, five flag holidays are observed: 1 - Memorial Day; 2 - Flag day; 3 - Independence Day; 4 - Labor Day; and 5 - Veterans Day.
Residential Rental Program
Our members will provide you with an American flag and flag pole for you to display at your home at anytime you wish. You may choose to display the flag on a daily basis or on officially recognized days: (Flag Day, Veterans Day, Memorial Day, Labor Day, Independence Day, Patriot Day, plus several other days) to show your pride and respect for those men and women who have served in the U.S. Armed Forces.
Our club will provide you with a flag and flagpole on an annual rental basis. We will install a plastic PVC pipe in the ground near the curb to accommodate the steel pole and 3’ x 5’ flag. Our club will replace any torn or damaged flags upon request. The cost for this service is only $40 per flag, per year! All proceeds from this flag program fund our efforts to support local non-profit organizations serving children in our community.
As a service organization of civic-minded citizens of Lubbock, the Kiwanis Club has been helping meet the needs of our city’s children since 1922!
Commercial Program
This is an opportunity for businesses to honor our country and show support for our Armed Forces, with a beautiful American Flag at their place of business. During the year, five flag holidays are observed: 1 - Memorial Day; 2 - Flag day; 3 - Independence Day; 4 - Labor Day; and 5 - Veterans Day.
On each of these five holidays, a Lubbock Kiwanis Club Flag Team will install the flag-mounted pole in the morning and will remove it in the evening. Businesses don’t have to do a thing!
When you sign up, our flag teams will install a plastic PVC pipe in the ground near the curb to accommodate the steel pole and 3’ x 5’ flag. A minimum of five flags must be installed at each location. The cost for this service is only $40 per flag, per year! All proceeds from this flag program fund our efforts to support local non-profit organization serving children in our community.
